Professor James Hunter
Highlands and Islands Enterprise

Jim Hunter is director of the UHI Centre for History. He is the author of several books about the Highlands and Islands. James Hunter has long been active in the public life of the north of Scotland. He was the first director of the Scottish Crofters Union, now the Scottish Crofting Foundation. From 1998 until 2004 he chaired the board of Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
