International events form part of the major events programme for Highland 2007.  Key to the success of Highland 2007 is the promotion of a strong programme of events to attract spectators, participants and significant media interest to Scotland to celebrate Highland culture in 2007.  The principal source of funding for this strand of the programme came from EventScotland.
