3 - 5 October Tiree has hosted an open level windsurfing contest for over 20 years in the shape of the Tiree Wave Classic. In 2007 Tiree's position on the global windsurfing circuit will be elevated as it hosts the Corona Extra PWA World Cup, the first PWA (Professional Windsurfers Association) Windsurfing World Cup to be staged in Scotland. The Tiree Wave Classic runs from 3 to 5 October with the Corona Extra PWA World Cup running from 6 to 13 October. See www.tireewaveclassic.com for more details. |
