The senior knockout shinty competition reaches a major landmark with the Scottish Hydro Electric 100th Camanachd Cup Final at Bught Park, Inverness. This year's event will provide a great day out for all the family with entertainment including sky divers, pipe bands, traditional music, a Shinty village, kids play area and some of the finest foods and products that Scotland has to offer. Tiree has hosted an open level windsurfing contest for over 20 years in the shape of the Tiree Wave Classic. In 2007 Tiree's position on the global windsurfing circuit will be elevated as it hosts the Corona Extra PWA World Cup, the first PWA (Professional Windsurfers Association) Windsurfing World Cup to be staged in Scotland. The Loch Ness Marathon has earned itself a reputation as one of the most popular in the UK attracting a field from across the world.  This race is renowned for its warm Highland welcome and scenic beauty as well as Nessie spotting!
