The Highlands have a rich and diverse historic, cultural, architectural and natural heritage which is truly inspiring. Woven into the Highland landscape is a history littered with evocative names – William Wallace, Rob Roy, Bonnie Prince Charlie. Celtic myth, Pictish stones, ancient burial grounds, battlefields and fortresses, churches and castles, all leave traces of lives lived and events gone by that create a present where it’s still possible to touch the past.
