Judges - Dennis Blackham of SkyeMastering. Dennis over the years has mastered for artists such as “The Who, Led Zeplin, Black Sabbath”.

Innis Hutton from the fantastic Peatbog Faeries. Bassist, percussionist and one of the founder members of the Peatbogs

Andy Mitchell. Renowned Traditional/Folk Singer/Songwriter and presenter of the massively popular Strupac on Cuillin Fm.

Line Up - Obar Oidhch, Racheal Cormack, Elvin & the Imps,Mr Benson, The Hookares, Red Handed.

6 Bands from Skye & Lochalsh battle it out to win £1000 and runner up will receive £500 to go towards sound recording and or equipment costs.

Alex Macleod Development Manager for ITSON said : “Were glad to be again presenting battle of the bands, working in partnership with NHS Highland & Highland Council Community Learning & Leisure – This event apart from being a fun/safe event for young people form all over Skye & Lochalsh to enjoy themselves at will also be an opportunity for young people to find out information and or advise and support on stopping smoking – and a host of other topics that is of interest to young people.

And it showcases the diverse range of talented young musicians that we have in Skye & Lochalsh & for the performers it gives valuable stage experience as well as the chance to win some cash to help with there development. – As per all of ITSONs events TGNSC also extends itself to engaging with young people who may be interested in getting involved with the creative industries of which ITSON is here to help.
