The popular Gaelic singing competition, Seo Seinn, takes place in Stornoway next week. The event, which is designed to encourage new musical material, will run from Monday 23 April to Friday 27 April in Stornoway Town Hall.
Entrants will be divided between two age groups, youth and adult, and will compete in two different disciplines, traditional and contemporary.
The judges comprise some of the top names in the world of Gaelic music, such as Flora MacNeil, Maggie MacInnes, Arthur Cormack and Iain “Costello” MacIver.
The entire competition will culminate on Friday night with the grand final and will be recorded for broadcast at a later date on BBC Radio nan Gaidheal.
Tickets for the final are available from An Comunn Gaidhealach’s offices in Stornoway and audience members can pay the door for qualifying events. All competitions will start at 7pm.
